The original idea of social punishment spawn from the environment at the time, education. Yet in what is called the real world, that is what most people experience in their lifes. Work, comute, bed, social punishement can be applied in even more ways. The parameters are slightly different yet the principle aims to perdure.

Once the referring vegetable has made it out of the education system and on to the job marjet things are only bound to get worse. They now not only punish their teachers, as they used to, they punish their colleagues, co-workers, or anyone that has the bad luck to be found in their vicinity.

In this new environment the vegetable struggles to keep the pace, which in the comercial environment seems to be faster, finding itself forced to seek out for help. That realtionship of help is indeed waht constitutes the punishment. The vegetable seeks assistance in matters that it does not understand. Of course trying to be a good profesional the vegetable hides behind the many acronims or standard expresions which may be of relevance to his field of work. It is in the very subtle yet revealing missuses of jargon that a vegetable can be found out. Generally attitudes of I know it all and I can't be asked, or extensive coffee breaks do all that is possible to hide the vegetables incopetence.

As I come across more of this speciments I will try to provide some dort of taxonomy of the ways of interaction of such wonderfull specimens. I have just been very surprised in finding vegetables in the wild. I guess I will never get rid of them in my existence so might as well employ the full power of social punishment in the interaction.
